## Current Status

✅ **Frontend is fully deployed and operational** at https://mtd.runfoo.run/

### What's Been Completed

1. **TypeScript Build Errors - ALL FIXED**
   - Header.tsx: Fixed Link onClick event binding issues (wrapped in divs)
   - Signup page: Fixed checkbox label type error (JSX → string)
   - Reset password: Fixed useSearchParams Suspense issue (extracted component)
   - Result: Frontend builds successfully with zero TypeScript errors

2. **Docker Deployment**
   - Created production Dockerfile with multi-stage build
   - Switched from dev mode (`npm run dev`) to production mode (`npm run start`)
   - Image correctly uses Next.js 14 production server

3. **Service Integration**
   - Added frontend service to docker-compose.yml
   - Configured Nginx reverse proxy to route `/` to frontend:3000
   - All services (API, DB, Redis, Nginx) running and healthy

4. **HTTPS/SSL Fixed**
   - Resolved Cloudflare Flexible SSL redirect loop
   - Nginx now properly handles X-Forwarded-Proto header from Cloudflare
   - Application loads without infinite redirects

## If Issues Arise

### Frontend Build Failures
- Check `/srv/containers/mtad-api/web/` for TypeScript errors
- Run `npm run type-check` to validate types
- Build log: `docker compose build frontend`

### Runtime Issues
- Check frontend logs: `docker compose logs frontend`
- Frontend runs on port 3000 internally
- Nginx proxies it to root path `/`

### API Integration Issues
- Verify API is running: `docker compose ps api`
- Check API logs: `docker compose logs api`
- API is at `http://api:8000/api/v1` (internal network)
- NEXT_PUBLIC_API_BASE_URL must be set correctly

- Frontend runs in production mode (Next.js server)
- All services use Docker Compose for orchestration
- Database: PostgreSQL 15
- Cache: Redis 7
- Reverse proxy: Nginx 1.29
- SSL: Cloudflare Flexible SSL (self-signed cert to origin)

## Next Steps (Optional)

If enhancing the frontend:

1. **Add Authentication UI**
   - Login/signup pages (already have reset-password page)
   - JWT token management in localStorage
   - Protected routes with middleware

2. **Build Feature Pages**
   - User dashboard
   - Health records interface
   - Community features

3. **API Integration**
   - Use `useApi()` hook (already set up in codebase)
   - Implement data fetching
   - Error handling and loading states

4. **Testing**
   - Add unit tests (Jest)
   - Add E2E tests (Cypress/Playwright)
   - Performance testing
